Just blowing off some steam.

About 6 months ago, the city added a new children's jungle gym play system to the baseball fields across the street from my home. Maya and Tomas-in heaven! It came with 4 enormous shades to keep the kids from melting in the scorching heat as well as picnic tables for us mommies and daddies. It was already a nice park but this was the cherry on the sundae. My problem you ask? Our park is nestled between 2 also recently built baseball fields. No biggie, on a BUSY weekend you might see kids playing t-ball, softball, baseball and little brothers and sisters enjoying the jungle gym as well as eating hot dogs or ice cream from the new concession stand. Well, here's my issue. Why is the park closed when the fields are closed? It's not a part of the baseball fields. It is independent and freestanding. What's the point? This is a public park. I have a tax bill that leads me to believe that I single handedly paid for the system myself.(I'll discuss taxes later.) I feel like I need to say what gives?? I

Did I mention Tomas and Maya love it when we walk over and play.
